NASBA CPA MOBILE APPLICATION


The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) has launched a free NASBA CPA Mobile App available for download on iOS and Android platforms to support Uniform CPA Examination (Exam) candidates by providing convenient, mobile-friendly access to Exam preparation, application and status updates. The app aims to make the CPA licensure process more accessible, transparent and user-focused by delivering personalized alerts and jurisdiction-specific guidance.

Scholarships

The ASCPA Educational Foundation awards General and Diversity in Accounting scholarships each year. Online applications are available January through March each year. Please send any questions about scholarships and the selection process to Florence Holland at fholland@alabama.cpa.

General Scholarships

General Scholarships ($2,500 each) support accounting students who plan to become Alabama CPAs.

The successful candidate will:

  • be a member of the ASCPA
  • utilize scholarship dollars at Alabama college or university
  • have declared a major in accounting
  • have completed Financial/Intermediate Accounting I and II courses before the 2026 fall semester
  • have at least a 2.75 GPA average in all accounting courses (on a 4.0 scale)
  • have at least a 2.75 GPA average overall (on a 4.0 scale)
  • have at least one full year left in school (fourth or fifth year)
  • be enrolled with 6 hours per semester/12 hours per year minimum
  • be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident (green card)
  • have a strong interest in a career in Alabama public accounting
  • plan to pursue CPA licensure, but not presently be a CPA

Diversity in Accounting Scholarships

5 Diversity in Accounting Scholarships ($2,500 each) to create a more diverse and reflective professional accounting population

The ASCPA Scholarship for Diversity in Accounting provides financial awards to outstanding minority students to encourage their pursuit of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. A student qualifying for a diversity scholarship is defined as being of Black or African-American, Hispanic or Latino, Native American or Asian ethnic backgrounds.

The successful candidate will:

  • be a member of the ASCPA
  • utilize scholarship dollars at Alabama college or university
  • have completed Financial/Intermediate Accounting I and II courses before start of 2025 fall semester
  • have a 2.75 average in all accounting courses (on a 4.0 scale)
