Kevin Andrews is a member of Financial Forensics & Valuation Group, PC located in Birmingham, Alabama. Kevin is experienced in preparing accounting and business valuation opinions for use in court. Kevin began his career working for a full service accounting firm affording him a broad foundation servicing privately owned companies. His early experience included preparing tax returns, auditing, fraud investigation, and litigation support services. After becoming a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2002 Kevin transitioned to working exclusively in forensic accounting. Shortly after beginning working exclusively in forensics Kevin began working on business valuation projects. By 2007 he was Accredited in Business Valuation and providing expert witness testimony in divorce cases regarding the value of businesses. As his career progressed Kevin has worked extensively in lost profits and business valuation for a wide variety industries ranging from professional motor cross teams to industrial manufacturers.
Today Kevin provides expert witness services including asset tracing, business valuation, lost profits, and intellectual property rights. Kevin also prepares non-litigated valuations through Alabama Business Valuations, LLC. The valuations include fair market value calculations for employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) and other regulatory filings to include gift and estate tax returns.
Kevin is also a founding member of the Birmingham Collaborative Alliance and seeks to promote the collaborative process of dispute resolution. He has been published in Fraud Magazine and frequently instructs continuing professional education for business valuation and fraud topics. Kevin has served three terms as President of the Birmingham Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Prior to graduating from the University of Alabama he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.
