As President and CEO for the Alabama Society of CPAs, Jeannine is responsible for strategic initiatives of the ASCPA Board and Educational Foundation. She serves as Secretary/Treasurer of ALA/CPA/PAC, and is liaison to Professional Ethics, By-laws, Taxation and Nomination Committees. Jeannine is a registered lobbyist for the ASCPA. She is responsible for recruitment and management of ASCPA volunteers for task force groups, committee, conference planning groups, and service projects.

Last but not least, she is the biggest cheerleader for the Accounting Profession.

Megan G. Hughes, APR

Megan oversees operations for the Society and is responsible for all internal and external communications. She serves as the editor of CONNECTIONS magazine and maintains the ASCPA brand, to include website content and all digital assets.

She has nearly 20 years of professional experience in the field of public relations, more than a decade of that time in higher education. Megan earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Auburn University, her master’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Southern Mississippi, and has earned her accreditation in Public Relations.

Kristi Gates, APR, has nearly 20 years of experience in public relations and strategic communication in the private, non-profit and public sectors. She joined the Alabama Society in 2022 as Manager, Member Communications and Events.

Kristi has both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Auburn University Montgomery in marketing and public administration, respectively. She has volunteered for Hospice of Montgomery, is a former Child Protect board member, and has served in several board positions with Public Relations Council of Alabama – Montgomery, including President. She currently serves as Secretary on the board of the Southern Public Relations Federation and is a member of the board of directors for the James W. Wilson Jr. YMCA in Montgomery.

Dr. Holland brings over 20 years of strategic planning and hands-on expertise to the table, with a focus on talent development, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her extensive experience spans both the business world and education sector, where she has made significant impacts in fostering growth and implementing effective programs. 

As a visionary leader, Florence has often been the first to step into new roles, showcasing her ability to build from the ground up. Her affiliations include esteemed organizations such as Cobb County Schools, Fulton County Schools, Auburn University, ACCESS Consulting Solutions, The Diversity Movement, RSM, Southwire and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, among others.

But Florence's dedication doesn't end there. She is an active member, choir director, and church clerk at Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church in Tuskegee, Alabama, and is deeply involved in her community through various boards, including Bridge Builders, Lee County Remembrance Project, Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and the Alabama State University DEEP NASA Grant Project.

Sarah Lowery is a native to Montgomery and graduated from Ezekiel Academy. She serves as our Programs Assistant. Sarah has over 2 years of experience in customer service. She grew up volunteering in her community and now helps in fulfilling our daily tasks. She lives in Montgomery with her family and two cats.

Helen Oglesby is a native of Lowndesboro, Alabama, and graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Agricultural Leadership. She is responsible for internal member communications, which include weekly digital newsletter and brand management of the website and social media outlets. Helen enjoys spending time on her family farm and traveling to new places.

Rob, a 24-year member of ASCPA, began his role as Director of Government Affairs in 2025. A graduate of Samford University, Rob lives with his wife Traci in his hometown of Demopolis. Rob has two children and two grandchildren.

Ashley serves as Director of Peer Review Operations for Partners in Peer Review at the Alabama Society of CPAs. Ashley has been employed with the ASCPA for 10 years, and she is passionate about serving others and strengthening the CPA profession. Her responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of the peer review program and providing administrative and technical support to firms and reviewers throughout the process.  She also serves as a representative on the AICPA’s Administrator Advisory Task Force (AATF), and also serves as an administrator representative on the AICPA’s Peer Review Oversight Task Force (OTF), including the Evolution Focus Group and RAB Observation Focus Group.

Ashley graduated from Troy University with a Master in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  She is originally from Valley, Alabama and currently resides in Daphne, Alabama with her husband and two daughters.

Chuck is the Director of Peer Review Professional Standards for Partners in Peer Review and serves as the CPA on Staff. He retired from public practice and joined Partners in Peer Review in 2016. His experience as an audit partner and peer reviewer provides the background for his role with Partners. His responsibilities are to oversee the administration of the peer review program for Partners in all matters relating to the peer review, auditing and accounting standards. He is also accountable for aspects of administration of the program. He serves on certain committees of the AICPA Peer Review Program.

Chuck lives in Pike Road, Alabama and enjoys spending time with his family, especially entertaining his grandchildren.

Bethany has been with the ASCPA for more than 5 years and works with the peer review team. She also handles all peer review & membership dues invoicing and billing. If you have a question about your ASCPA membership, chances are Bethany can answer it!

Bethany is a Michigan native and has her associates degree from Texas State Tech.

Raegen serves as Manager of Peer Review Operations and has been employed with the ASCPA for 7 years.  Raegen is responsible for the successful and timely movement of peer reviews through each stage of the peer review process, including providing direct communication and guidance to firms and reviewers during the process.  With over 9 years working in customer support, Raegen’s strength to the team is her communication and organizational skills. 

Raegen is from Eclectic, Alabama and currently lives in Holtville, Alabama, with her husband, son and her two pups.
