Navigating the Banking Landscape: Insight for CPAs (Sponsored by CB&S Bank)

Michael D. Ross serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of CBS Banc-Corp., the holding company of CB&S Bank, Inc., a $3 billion bank with 59 offices in the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee. He has 40 years of experience in all facets of banking.

Ross holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Alabama. He grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and is a graduate of Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School. He received a Leadership at the Peak Certification from the Center for Creative Leadership and a Program on Negotiation Certification from Harvard Law School.

Ross is a member of the board of directors of the Birmingham Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He serves on the boards of both the Alabama Bankers Association and the University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Business. He is immediate past chairman of both organizations. He also serves on the University of Alabama President's Cabinet.

Ross and his wife Hilary reside in Florence, Alabama and have three adult children, Hunter, Owen, and Maddie. He is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church as well as the Florence Council of the Knight
