    Lisa Parker, CPA

    Bio

    Lisa Parker is a senior project manager with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). Prior to joining the GASB in 2008, Lisa worked for Runyon Kersteen Ouellette CPAs for 10 years, the town of Old Orchard Beach, Maine as finance director and interim town manager for 2 years, and the city of Saco, Maine as finance director for 8 years.

    Lisa is a certified public accountant and a chartered global management accountant. She also is a member of the Association of Governmental Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants, where she served as president. Previously, Lisa was president of the Maine Governmental Finance Officers Association, an executive board member of the New England Governmental Finance Officers Association, and a member of a national GFOA standing committee.

    Lisa attended Boston College and the University of Southern Maine graduating with magna cum laude honors and a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

    Jason has the ability to translate complicated accounting procedures into easy to understand terms, and his clients enjoy this down-to earth approach. With almost 20 years of experience in certified public accounting, Jason focuses on delivering accounting services to privately-held companies and governmental entities. He provides audit, review, compilation, and tax services to governments and to the construction, manufacturing, and franchise industries. As part of the firm’s governmental audit team, Jason provides attestation and compliance services to cities/municipalities, school boards, and universities along with internal control and A-133 Single Audit consulting. He has provided auditing and consulting services to governmental entities with revenues ranging from $10 million to over $100 million. Jason is also part of the firm’s construction audit group and performs audit and tax services for general contractors, subcontractors, and other construction entities throughout the South. Additionally, he currently serves as a speaker in the greater Birmingham area related to preventing and detecting fraud.

    As a member of the firm’s Audit Quality Control Committee, Jason is actively involved in the implementation of accounting and auditing standards used throughout the firm. He is also a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA).
