Going into its fifteenth year, the AICPA Leadership Academy, a program for young accounting professionals, engages candidates in a self-examination of leadership, what that means and how that impacts their personal life, career path, and the CPA profession. To date, more than 475 CPAs have participated in the AICPA Leadership Academy, many of whom go on to serve in volunteer leadership roles at their state societies and the AICPA.

This year’s event will be held Dec. 11 – 14th in Durham, NC. Consider encouraging your emerging leaders to apply for this once-in-lifetime event!

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be a licensed CPA between the age of 25 – 35
• Be a regular member of the AICPA
• Be a member of a state society and/or professional accounting organization
• Have 3+ years of experience with the CPA profession.

Applicants will need to provide:

• An updated resume along with a photo
• Two letters of recommendation
• Responses to two short essays on successful leadership and why they want to attend Leadership Academy

The application period is open until June 30, 2023.
